Unsolved Mysteries

I don't know about you, but this show scared me when I was younger. It might have been the creepy theme music. It could of been the host, Robert Stack. It was most likely the scary unsolved crimes and crazy urban legends that the show talked about. Unsolved Mysteries features segments in documentary film style, with actors portraying the victims, perpetrators and witnesses. The show started as specials in 1987, but became a regular series on NBC from 1988 to 1997. This was also the first time I saw those freaky U.F.O. sighting videos. They tried to revive the show many times. The new version was hosted by Dennis Farina. These were just not the same. There is something creepy and wonderful about the original. You can caught them in reruns on the Lifetime Channel.
