Surge Soda

In 1996 the Coca-Cola Company wanted to compete with Pepsi's Mountain Dew. They introduced a new soda in Norway called, Urge. It was a hit there, so Coca-Cola decided to start producing Urge in the United States under the name Surge. Surge did very well at the start, but the sales started to slip and it was discontinued. You can still get Urge in Norway. A couple years later, Coca-Cola started making a new pop called Vault. The two drinks are noted to have similar ingredients and taste, although Vault contains higher levels of caffeine. I don't taste the similarities, but that is because i miss the 'urge' for Surge.
