A hit in Syndication, It's a living followed the wisecracking staff at "Above the Top", a restaurant at the top of the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles. The show first aired in 1980 under the name Making a Living, but didn't catch on. In 1983, it went into syndication and became a hit. The show mostly followed the waitress and the pianist named Sonny Mann. Sonny would always make rude comments to the women. Many Cast changing happened during the run. I remember Crystal Bernard, Barrie Youngfellow, and Ann Jillian.
