Anne Ramsey was born in Omaha, NE on March 27, 1929. She was an American stage, television, and film actress. She married actor Logan Ramsey in 1954 and starred in seven films with him, including her first, The Sporting Club. She is best remembered for here roles in the movies The Goonies and her Oscar nominated role in Throw Momma from the Train. She appeared in character roles on television. Anne had her tongue and her jaw removed during surgery for esophageal cancer in 1984. This was the cause of her slurred speech that we have come to know. I love Anne. Every time she was on screen I would stop and just watch. Mainly because I was afraid of her back in the day. Now I have come to love her for who she is. He cancer didn't slow her down one bit. She appeared in six films released in the two years after her death. God Bless Anne Ramsey.
