This 1978 movie can be the source of a comedy's blueprint. Animal House is about a misfit group of fraternity members who challenge the administrators of their university. Many knockoffs followed the success of the movie, including three sitcoms that had the same idea. ABC had Delta House, NBC had Brothers and Sisters and CBS had Co-Ed Fever. The lasting impression Animal House had can be seen through out the Apatow R-Rated movie of today. The true hero of the movie is John Belushi's, Bluto. His Speech toward the end of the movie is one the best comic scenes and can be seen in today's Will Ferrell and Jim Carrey movies. Bluto's Big Speech ranks as one of the best movie speeches.
