Press Your Luck was an 80's Game show where contestants would spin for prizes on a big board. Careful, if you landed on a Whammy you lost all you money and lost your turn. But did anyone ever avoid the Whammy? Yes, on May 1984 that aired on TV in June 1984, Michael Larson won $110,237 in cash and
prizes, at the time the largest one-day total ever won on a game show. So how did he do it? Larson memorized the patterns used on the Press Your Luck game board. See, the board had lights that would light up fast, but if you watched closely you could see when it would always hit the big bucks square. Larson, figured out were the pattern was and scored big. The producers thought he was cheating because they noticed that Larson immediately celebrated after many of his spins,
instead of waiting the fraction of a second that it would normally take
for a player to see and respond to the space they had stopped on. Watch the episode below and see if you can spot the pattern.
Cool Retro Crap you might or might not remember. 70, 80, 90, even early 00's

What was your favorite cartoon from The Disney Afternoon
The Disney Afternoon was a two hour block of cartoons that included Darkwing Duck, TailSpin, DuckTales, and Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers. The cartoons were new spins on Classic Characters and introduced us to new ones to love and care about. Some Characters overlapped. For example, Launchpad McQuack started out on DuckTales, but later was on Darkwing Duck. I liked him better on DuckTales. He seemed like a good comic relief in both shows. The Big question is which one of these shows is your favorite. I have to go for DuckTales. It was the first one and really seemed more creative in the way it spoofed things. I would have to say Chip and Dale's are a near 2nd. What is your favorite. Comment below!!!!

Paul Haggis, Maverick Retro Past?
Paul Haggis is the Oscar Winning screenwriter of the films Crash and Million Dollar Baby. Haggis has been described as a new Maverick in Hollywood, but his past might show otherwise. Upon watching an episode of Facts of Life where Jo talks to a Computer about her problems with Blair, I noticed that this 'wonderful' script was written by Haggis. I couldn't believe that this was the same Haggis who put the words in the mouth of Hillary Swank's Female boxer. Maybe Haggis has a thing for tough chicks. I instantly had to see what else he might have embarrassed written. Haggis has also wrote for Who's the Boss, Different Strokes, One Day at of time, Healthcliff (A.K.A generic Garfield) and The Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Puppy Hour. Scrappy-Doo???? It gets better. Haggis also wrote, created and produced Walker, Texas Wranger. Hold on to your Oscar tight Paul, I'm coming.
Bill Erwin
Bill Erwin was an veteran character actor, but you might know him as "that old guy from that one show." He guest starred on many television shows in his life time. I remember him as the angry old guy that kept popping up on Growing Pain. He was also in Seinfeld, I Love Lucy, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. He just had one of those faces that everyone knew. He was also in one of my favorite movies, Somewhere in Time. Bill Erwin died at his home on December 29, 2010 in from natural causes, near the production lot where Seinfeld was filmed.
