How 80's music Lied to us!

A lot of crazy things come out of the 80's. One of the craziest is how pop music back then lied to us. First of is the song "Walking on Sunshine This one is easy. I mean unless you know a mean Asian girl named Sunshine, I am not thinking walking on it would feel real good. I mean thanks for for making me believe I can do anything Katrina. You disappoint me!!! Next is "Our House" by Madness

I am sorry but if your house is in the Middle of the Street, then you are not getting that much sleep. Unless you live on a dead end, enjoy the sound of cars, trucks, and the ice cream truck while you are trying to read a bedtime story to your kid. and Finally is "In a Big Country" - by Big Country.

 Russia anyone?

Favorite New Old Song - Regret - New Order

My top 5 comedy duos from the 90's

5) Larry Appleton & Balki Bartokomous - In the early 90's these two Perfect Strangers kept us laughing during the TGIF line up on ABC. It was great seeing Larry as the straight man to Balki's crazy ways. This pair will always be standing tall. 4) Chris Farley and David Spade - In the 90's a lot of bad movies were made based on SNL characters. Farley and Spade did the right thing and made new plots and movies. Well sort of. With Tommy Boy and and Black Sheep, the duo became box office gold. 3) Jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau - This comedy duo got a new life in the 90's with the Grumpy Old Men Movies. Hearing these two go at it was funny back in the day. It only got better with age. These two knew how to insult each other. 2) Beavis and Butt-head - Juvenile fun the only way MTV knows how. This duo brought low ball humor to a high level. 1)Jay and Silent Bob - Six movies and an animated series, this duo is what has made Kevin Smith a Household name. Sure one of them doesn't talk, but they are a modern classic. I don't think anything can top the brilliance that is Jay and Silent Bob.

Arrest & Trial

So I found a couple episodes of the 60's TV show, Arrest & Trial. See if this plot sounds familiar to you.  The majority of episodes consisted of two segments. Set in Los Angeles, the first part ("The Arrest") followed Detective Sergeants Nick Anderson (Ben Gazzara) and Dan Kirby (Roger Perry) of the LAPD as they tracked down and captured a criminal. The apprehended suspect was then defended in the second part ("The Trial") by criminal attorney John Egan (Chuck Connors), who was often up against Deputy District Attorney Jerry Miller (John Larch) and his assistant, Barry Pine. In a way this was the roots of Law & Order. I've enjoyed the episodes so far.  Unlike Law & Order, the episodes deal with the person on trial and their family and friends. The show was way before its time. It only lasted one season, but It was up against the Ed Sullivan Show. Nothing beat Ed.
